We are pleased to announce that Saints Community Sports CIC, owner of St Helens and Ormskirk Basketball, has acquired the right to lease and develop Broadway Leisure Centre and the surrounding green space in West Park, St Helens. This agreement is in partnership with Standing Tall Foundation, who are a registered community charity based in St Helens. The agreement was completed under the local council’s community asset transfer program, with the combined group having met the operational and financial thresholds under which the transfer was permitted. Broadway, a previous venue used by St Helens Saints for local league and national league teams on a small usage basis between 2013-2022, was home to some positive memories for the club and we are excited to make the most of this opportunity going forward and are excited to have the support of club members and the wider community for the future.
